Our Facilities
Hazel Homes is an exciting new development in a quiet part of Mitcham. With five well-equipped spacious private rooms along with great communal facilities for social interaction, we offer a good life base. The communal areas, inside and out, include a private meeting room for residents to meet and talk confidentially with family, or fellow professionals without interruption.
Our catering area is able to provide for varied dietary requirements and is fitted so residents can use the facilities alone, or with supervision. Other domestic areas such as laundry are designed so that our residents can take part in the day to day running of their home. They are also able to help with the small garden.
Parts of the communal area are also fitted for learning and development with adapted computer terminals and internet / telephone. These same facilities can be used for visual contact with friends and relatives.
Our resident also benefits from the use of a sensory room which can help with sensory stimulation, sensory integration, improve focus, develop or reactivate senses, encourage socialization, enhanced learning through play and tackle problems with behaviours.
As parts of our safeguarding programme, our home has excellent security, all fire and other safety systems and it is staffed 24 / 7, so residents and their families can be confident of their safety.

Registered Manager
As the CQC Registered Manager for Hazel Homes, I bring almost fifteen years of working in the Autism Spectrum sector, with children, young people and adults. Across this time, I’ve worked for schools and care organisations including Cambian. Building my knowledge and learning how to apply this and how to train and develop a staff team to provide a caring environment that works for our residents.
An important part of my role is working with those we support and care for, along with their family and friends to maximise their involvement in building person centred care plans and focussing these on the residents’ needs and wishes. For many with Autism, contact and working with their friends, family and professionals is the route to achieving their life goals, including independent, or supported living.
I’ve been a deputy safeguarding lead for several years and have specialised in compliance and quality audits. One of my personal ambitions for Hazel House is to introduce ISO9001 as a recognised Quality Management System.
Having graduated from university with an honours degree in business, I’m well versed in efficient business management and have honed my leadership skills during my career with care providers large and small.
